Foodservice will continue at four LISD campuses amid shelter-in-place order by Travis/Williamson counties

This is a regular update from Leander ISD on our response to the Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic. This is an active and ongoing situation. For the most up-to-date information, please visit our COVID-19 webpage.

Travis and Williamson counties directed residents to shelter-in-place through May 4th. As a reminder, all LISD buildings and facilities are closed through May 4th. This includes athletic fields and playgrounds.

Foodservice is a key component of our support to students as we work during the global, coronavirus pandemic (COVID-19). As a provider of essential services, LISD and neighboring districts will continue to provide meals to students during the shelter-in-place directive from Travis and Williamson counties.

From 11:30 a.m.–1:30 p.m., Monday through Friday, any student can visit one of four locations to pick up a hot lunch and a breakfast meal for the next morning at the curbside or drive-thru pick-up service at the following locations:

  • Bagdad Elementary School,

  • Reed Elementary School,

  • River Place Elementary School, and

  • Running Brushy Middle School.

To receive food, we will not require proof of enrollment. TDA guidelines do require a student to be present to pick up food. We are asking families to use the Nutrisliceweb or mobile application, when possible, to help us efficiently provide for those in need.
